Ljubljana, 14 December 2004 – Father Christmas has already started his long voyage around the world to leave his presents under Christmas trees. Tomorrow, 15 December, he will also stop at BTC City, arriving in a sleigh pulled by reindeer and accompanied by his merry gang of jugglers, majorettes and a drummer who will entertain visitors. Father Christmas and his friends will visit many destinations in the whole of BTC City with his final destination being Youth Alley, where he will address the kids at 5 p.m. Afterwards an ice-skating show will start followed by a concert by Trkaj, one of Slovenia’s biggest hip-hop stars.
So, if you want to experience a truly merry December come to BTC City where there is top fun every day of the week. The BTC lego fun in Hall A is already underway and since it has proven very popular with visitors the organisers have decided to extend the exhibition until 12 December.
Youth Alley with its free ice-skating rink open every day of the week from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. is also full of life and hosts Tof with his academy of famous Slovenians at 5 p.m. on Thursdays and there are Ice games at 5 p.m. on Fridays. These games are not only intended for children but adults alike. They are games without frontiers comprising various sports activities such as ice-hockey, bowling or even testing grounds, all led by teachers and referees from the Lucky Luka roller-blading and ice-skating school. The land of imagination and fairy-tales opens up its doors every Saturday at noon in Youth Alley which hosts the BTC Ice theatre where the kids can ice-skate, dance or even star in shows led by fairy-tale characters.
You should also definitely visit the BTC City market which will host a medieval Saturday on 18 December from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. where you can get ‘good old’ and secret recipes from an experienced chef.
The month of December is a month of shopping and looking for perfect presents for your family and friends. Therefore, all shops in BTC City have special working hours. They are open from Monday to Saturday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and on Sundays from 9 p.m. to 5 p.m. Presents bought in Halls A and D can be gift-wrapped for free.
