Ikea, a worldwide retailer of affordable, well-designed products and solutions for every home, today opened its first store in Slovenia, located in BTC City Ljubljana. At BTC, we are happy and proud to welcome Ikea – a company that shares our vision of creating a better everyday life for our and future generations, while continuing to grow with a positive impact on both people and the planet in mind – to the unique environment of our innovative and open city.

Ikea will extend the offering of BTC City Ljubljana with its store which on 31,000 square meters offers more than 9,500 products for the best home furnishing solutions. At the same time, this is one of the most sustainable Ikea stores which will help us follow our goals of sustainable development of BTC City Ljubljana. The Ikea store will be producing renewable energy with solar panels on its roof, where vegetation is also planted, while rainwater will be collected from the roof and used for flushing and watering.
