The natural disaster that hit Slovenia in the past couple of days caused widespread damage across the country. The disastrous storm destroyed numerous homes and infrastructure connections. In line with its corporate values, the BTC Company has, as so many times before, come to the rescue and helped the most affected residents to re-establish the conditions for a normal life and to rebuild their homes as soon as possible. It also adopted its logistics operations to ensure smooth delivery of everyday use products to its business partners in all regions.

The BTC Company recognizes the importance of helping the people and communities, which are currently facing extremely difficult circumstances. As part of its social responsibility efforts, the company has taken steps to help those affected by the recent devastating floods and landslides in Slovenia. A donation of 200,000 Euros has already been made to the Municipality of Ljubno ob Savinji, with which the BTC Company shares a decade-long friendship originating from our support of ski jumping in Ljubno. With this contribution, the BTC Company wants to help 9 families who have lost their homes in the flood.

In the field of logistics, we also actively ensured smooth deliveries to our business partners, who have been facing many challenges due to the effects of this ferocious storm. Together with a dedicated team of employees, we managed to ensure that our partners’ stores were supplied on time in all regions and that products for everyday use were available to the wider population,” said Mr. Damjan Kralj, MSc, CEO of the BTC Company.”
