In December, the BTC City stores and the Shopping Gallery of the Crystal palace will be open on Saturdays between 9am and 8pm and on Sundays between 9am and 3pm. The BTC Market will also be open every day. All throughout December BTC City Ljubljana will be home to numerous events and activities for visitors of all generations.
The square Trg mladih will once again have an open ice-skating rink, where visitors will be able to skate as well as rent skates free of charge. The young ones will be able to skate alongside Father Christmas every day between 5pm and 7pm. Each weekend, as well as every day during the winter holidays, visitors will be able to attend beginner or refresher skating courses, accompanied by follow-up animations.
Saint Nicholas and Father Christmas will also be visiting BTC City. Children will be visited by Saint Nicholas on Sunday, December 4th, at 11am on the lower floor of the Emporium hall, while Father Christmas and his friends will be on the square Trg mladih on Thursday, December 22nd, at 6pm. Each Saturday the lower floor of the Emporium hall will host a baking of Christmas cookies for all the fans of sweets, while each Sunday the children centre Beti in Cej will host the Christmas happy club with workshops of craftsmanship and Christmas fairytales. There will also be numerous workshops throughout the entire month of December, which will spruce up the visitors’ everyday shopping experience. On Fridays, Hall A will host creative workshops, while on Sundays there will be a Christmas good-behaviour-metre.
Numerous activities in BTC City will be accompanied by additional activities in the Shopping Gallery of the Crystal palace. Between 2 and 15 December visitors of all the shops in the Shopping Gallery will be able to take part in the prize-winning game Coupon of wishes (“Kupon želja”). On Thursdays, the restaurant and bar diVino will host City after-work parties, while on Fridays at 5pm there will be fairytale hours with the snow fairy Mila and on Saturdays creative workshops for children. Visitors will be able to get advice for their first sport steps on snow each Saturday from the skiing legends Jure Košir, Drago Grubelnik and Rene Mlekuž.
On 29th December, the Shopping gallery of the Crystal palace will be visited by Santa Claus.
