Twice a year, the Festival of Shopping and Fun brings joy to fashion enthusiasts, as well as fun and adventure lovers. Last weekend, this main event on the calendar of fun and shopping took place for the 26th time in a row and attracted numerous visitors from Slovenia and abroad. Owing to infrastructure improvements that BTC City Ljubljana has undergone this year, visitors were able to safely and quickly arrive to the Slovenian Mecca of fun and shopping on foot, by bike, city bus or car.
Damjan Kralj, MA, Member of the BTC Management Board and Director of Sales and Marketing at BTC d.d., did not hide his enthusiasm about the bustling event. “BTC Cities present one of the key pillars of the BTC Company’s business. Events like the Festival of Shopping and Fun realise our visitors’ wishes for an outstanding shopping experience, intertwined with entertainment activities. Proving that our course follows the right direction are many satisfied customers on the one side and our business associates on the other.”
The main protagonists of the Festival of Shopping and Fun story are the suppliers of products and services from the entire area of the largest Slovenian shopping centre, among which you can find the recently modernised store Baby Center, the centre of latest fashion trends Emporium, the largest sports chain store in the world, and optician’s shop Optika Clarus as one of the leading suppliers in the field of eyewear and optical accessories. With their discounts and special offers, all the shops have contributed to an unforgettable shopping experience that put many smiles on the faces of the visitors.
An accompanying programme variegated a two-day event for all generations on several locations: at the main site in the square between Hall A and BTC City Market, in Hall A, in the square Trg mladih, on the lower floor of the Emporium Hall, and in the parking lot in front of sports centre Millenium. Most attention was paid to the main event site, where numerous theatre, sports and fashion shows were organised, with the visitors being able to enjoy magic shows as well. The weekend was characterised by trends from the field of sustainable mobility, culinary delights, and creative workshops as well as entertaining programme for the youngest. The event will surely leave a special mark in the memory of all who participated in the wheel of fortune show and in the prize-winning game BTC City where gift cards in the total value of EUR 3,000 were granted.
On the following weekend, the lively events will take place in BTC City Murska Sobota and in BTC City Novo mesto. In the Prekmurje region, you will be able to become a part of fun shopping on Saturday, 22nd October, while in the Dolenjska region the event will take place already on Friday, 21st October, and continue on the following day as well. For several years, both events have been attracting locals to enjoy in favourable shopping and vivid programme.
