With his excellent jumps at this year’s FIS Nordic World Ski Championships in Planica, Timi Zajc’s medal-winning performances have brought all of Slovenia to its feet. After the Championships, the ski jumping champion visited his proud sponsor – the BTC Company. At the reception, he was greeted and congratulated for his historic result by Jože Mermal, Chairman of the Board of Directors at BTC, Damjan Kralj, Chief Executive Officer at BTC, and Miha Mermal, Chief Marketing Officer and Chief Sustainability Officer at BTC. Timi mingled and chatted with BTC’s employees who are his loyal fans.

At the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships in Planica, Timi Zajc, who is a member of the Ljubno BTC Ski Jumping Club, won three medals – a bronze in the mixed team event, the World Championship title on the large hill and another gold medal in the team event alongside Anže Lanišek, Žiga Jelar and Lovro Kos. With three medals, he was the most successful ski jumper of this year’s World Championships and has become the first ever Slovenian ski jumper who won three medals at the same world championship.

At the reception, Timi thanked the BTC Company and his fans for all the support and their trust. During the relaxed mingling with the BTC Company’s employees, he shared his winning feelings from Planica, graciously accepted praise and congratulations and signed autographs.
