Ljubno ob Savinji will once again be the place to be this weekend, 15–16 February, as it is set to host the already 14th FIS Ski Jumping World Cup for Women. Women’s ski jumping fans will be able to cheer on more than 50 fearless competitors from 14 countries, whose successful seasons so far promise exceptional jumps, live in-person or via TV broadcast. The competitions underneath the Rajhovka hill will be accompanied by exciting events with special activities planned for kids.

Following Friday’s official practice and qualifying round, the ski jumpers will take to competition rounds on Saturday and Sunday, 15 and 16 February 2025. On the first competition day, the action will start at 10:15 with the trial round, followed by the opening ceremony and the first and the final competition round. On Sunday, the action will start at 8:30 with the qualifying round, followed by the opening ceremony and the first and the final second-day competition round.

In addition to cheering on the brave ski jumpers, fans will also be able to get food and drinks in the event marquee and enjoy the accompanying programme. Children will be able to give ski jumping a try at Mini Planica and take advantage of the Kids’ Fun Park, which features a heated tent, a bouncy castle, various entertainment activities and free schmorn.

Special emphasis will also be placed on event sustainability efforts, brought together by the “Responsible Ljubno” initiative. The organisers aim to reduce their environmental footprint and promote responsible behaviour, which includes a number of important sustainability measures. In this regard, implemented in cooperation with our partner Nomago, there will be organised bus transport from 5 Slovenian locales – Celje, Ljubljana, Maribor, Kranj and Prevalje.

This year’s competition in Ljubno marks an important step towards gender equality in ski jumping, as the BTC Company will award the winners of the qualifying rounds EUR 1,500 each. This constitutes a key contribution to closing the gap between male and female ski jumpers in terms of the treatment they usually enjoy. The aim is to further support and promote the development of women’s ski jumping and raise its profile.

Let’s cheer for the best female ski jumpers this weekend and experience the unforgettable atmosphere of the FIS World Cup in Ljubno!
